  • DCPIC Seeks Nominations Dear DCDSB Families,  On behalf of myself and all the current members of the Durham Catholic Parent Involvement Committee (DCPIC), welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! As students settle into their classes, DCPIC is also getting ready to continue our ongoing collaboration with the board, beginning with hosting elections for available positions on our committee. About DCPIC Led by parents, guardians and caregivers, DCPIC is a formal statutory entity of the Durham Catholic District School Board.
  • DCDSB After School Social Skills Programs DCDSB After School Social Skills Programs, for students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), will begin the first week of October 2023. This year, the following programs are being offered: PEERS: The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is world-renowned for providing evidence-based social skills treatment to adolescents, and young adults diagnosed with ASD - available for Grade 7 to Grade 12.
  • Registration Now Open for International Languages Classes The International Languages programs offered through Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre are designed for students from Year 1 Kindergarten/Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12. The programs provide students with the opportunity to speak, listen, write and read in an international language and to learn about the culture and heritage associated with the language.
  • Back to School Letter from Minister of Education Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers, As the 2023-2024 school year begins, Stephen Lecce, Minister of Education, has prepared a back to school message to Ontario parents, guardians and caregivers.   Please see the attached letter.
  • Enhancing Numeracy Skills at Welding Camp During the month of July, Durham Catholic District School Board offered an enhanced Welding Camp for students to develop numeracy skills, by introducing participants to basic welding techniques used in many trades. Hosted at Monseigneur Paul Dwyer C.

We are excited to reconnect with you and your family for the start of the 2023-2024 school year and offer a special welcome to students and families who are new to the Durham Catholic District School Board. Here in Durham Catholic, we are looking forward to a school year that will focus on listening, learning and living in faith as we embark on our new multi-year strategic plan, Inspire 2026.
  • A Message to Students & Parents from St. Mary Guidance Welcome to a New School Year!    Guidance is currently working on making minor adjustments to student timetables. Students may be able to view their classes on Edsby very soon; however, they will receive an official student timetable on the first day of school in 1st period class/homeroom.
  • DCDSB Class Placements and Timetables We look forward to welcoming all students back to school on Tuesday, September 5, 2023!  Tentative class placements and timetables will be available to view on Edsby as of 9:00 a.m.
