Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I extend a heartfelt greeting to students and families who are new to the Durham Catholic District School Board, and a warm ‘welcome back’ to returning students and families.
I am excited to begin this year as the new Director of Education for the DCDSB and look forward to connecting with students and families in this new role.

DCDSB Announces Appointment of Superintendent of Education and Chief Human Resources OfficerThe Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Outram to the position of Superintendent of Education effective August 12, 2024, and Jaime Sheepwash to the position of Chief Human Resources Officer effective August 19, 2024.
Jessica Outram has over 25 years of experience, which includes 12 years of teaching in secondary schools with DCDSB, 10 years in school administration with Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board (KPRDSB) in elementary and secondary schools, and three years as a System Principal of Indigenous Education K-12 with KPRDSB.

CABS Multi-Sport Summer CampThis summer, DCDSB students in Grades 6-9 participated in the CABS Multi-Sport camp at Archbishop Denis O'Connor Catholic High School. Students played a variety of recreational activities, including basketball, volleyball, kickball and more! In addition, camp leaders facilitated activities that were aimed at building leadership, fitness, and peer relationship skills.

Active Harmony CampActive Harmony Camp provides a vibrant summer experience for children in Grades 2-5, emphasizing wellness, sports, and fun activities. Campers participate in sports coaching to enhance skills and teamwork.

Building Buddies Social Skills CampThe Durham Catholic District School Board is excited to offer the "Building Buddies" Social Skills Camp this summer. This program's goal is to enhance positive social interactions through play-based learning and campers will have the opportunity to develop social skills through play with peers.
