New Dual Credit Plumbing Program Offers DCDSB Secondary Students Opportunity to Receive Durham College Credit Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) students can now simultaneously earn a high school credit and a first-year plumbing college credit through a unique Dual Credit program.
Through a partnership between DCDSB and Durham College, students at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School in Ajax are able to enroll in a Construction Technology class where they will also be taught the Trade Fundamental Basic Plumbing course, which is part of Durham College’s one-year Trade Fundamentals program.

Learning About Treaties in NBE3URecently Grade 11 students in the NBE3U class (Understanding Contemporary First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Voices) at Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School engaged in multifaceted learning about treaties in Canada. They examined what treaties are, explored historic and modern treaties, and reviewed disagreements that have arisen over treaties.
