DCDSB Jubilee Cross at Holy Family Catholic SchoolOn Monday, May 20, students and staff at Holy Family Catholic School in Beaverton gathered in a heartfelt outdoor liturgy to welcome the Jubilee Cross. This special cross, created by students from Archbishop Denis O’Connor Catholic High School, is journeying across the Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) as a symbol of unity, faith, and hope.

Student Walk for Hope in Support of the Durham Catholic Children’s FoundationSchools across the Durham Catholic District School Board will be participating in the Student Walk for Hope in support of the Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation in June 2025!
Students and staff are invited to donate “virtual” toonies to support Durham Catholic Children’s Foundation initiatives. Funds collected will assist the Foundation in helping children and families in the Durham Catholic District School Board.
Together in Dance: 27 Schools Unite at the Annual Folk Dance JamboreeOn Wednesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 1, Durham Catholic elementary schools hosted the annual Folk Dance Jamboree at Iroquois Park Sports Arena in Whitby. 27 schools participated in this event!
The Jamboree featured 10 dances with each school having the option to participate in some, or all of them.

All Saints Catholic Secondary School Places First in Fundraising for the Terry Fox Foundation All Saints Catholic Secondary School has once again secured the top spot in fundraising for the Terry Fox Foundation during the 2024 Terry Fox School Run! The school community raised over $90,000, placing first among the top 25 secondary schools in Ontario. This achievement is not a first for All Saints Catholic Secondary School.

Indigenous Student Circle Visits Claremont Nature CentreOn April 24, Indigenous students in Grades 6-12 across Durham Catholic District School Board joined together for a fun filled day at Claremont Nature Centre in Pickering. This day is one of the outings offered to members of the Indigenous Student Circle (ISC).
