Guidance & Course Calendar
The Guidance Office is responsible for providing a caring and compassionate environment that is inviting to all who enter. As guidance counsellors and educators, our role has been organized into three distinct areas:
- student development;
- interpersonal development; and
- career development as it relates to pathway planning.
Our counsellors are equipped to provide ongoing academic, social/emotional, and pathway planning supports for our students. We encourage students to take an active role as vibrant, positive members of our school community and lifelong learners.
For information on Academic Supports, Secondary and Post-Secondary Pathway Planning, please visit the "Guidance News" Edsby group.

Registration Information
We welcome students of all faiths at our Durham Catholic secondary schools.
Registration for Grade 8 students currently attending our Pickering & Uxbridge family of schools (Father Fenelon, St. Elizabeth Seton, St. Isaac Jogues, St. Joseph-Uxbridge, St. Monica, or St. Wilfrid) is processed by St. Mary Guidance Teachers in the elementary school classroom.
Please join us on the Grade 8 Student and Parent-Guardian Information Evening on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 (6:30 p.m. - 8:30pm) to learn about the registration process and course selection and tour the school.
Any prospective students who are new to the Durham Catholic District School Board must complete an online student application at osas.dcdsb.ca.
Once the online application is complete our Guidance Administrative Assistant will contact you with a welcome email and information regarding next steps. Families must:
- download and print the pre-admission package
- complete and submit the pre-admission package, most notably section c, with all required documentation (photocopies of all original documents are necessary before visiting guidance)
French Immersion students should select "ENGLISH" option in the OSAS system; the appropriate French program will be adjusted by Guidance Teachers during the course selection and registration appointments.
Students returning to the Durham Catholic District School Board will be required to complete returning student forms with required paperwork. Students who do not fall within the school's Pickering-Uxbridge boundary are subject to the cross-boundary request process and are asked to contact our Guidance Office.
We welcome you to contact our Guidance Office regarding any questions you have about our school and/or registration: 905-420-7166 ext. 56020.
